This movie was intended for teenagers. It is for all stereotypes whether they are outcasts or extremely popular. Specifically, this movie is for kids who have parent issues, social issues and issues with themselves. The movie is supposed to say that no matter what social class you are in, everyone has more things in common than you think. For example, the dad of the athlete and the parents of the smart kid are both extremely hard on their kids. The athlete's dad always needs him to do well in wrestling and to always win. The parents of the smart kid always need him to get A's and to get hundreds on tests. Their parents made them break and thus making them get in detention. This movie encourages people to be themselves and to not judge people by their looks or social class because people can have things in common with you if you give them a chance.
